Turning 65 during a tax year; are >65 deductions apportioned?



If a taxpayer turns 65 during a tax year, are the >65 benefits applicable for the full tax year or are deductions apportioned?

As long as the taxpayer is 65 years or older during the tax year in question then the benefits are allowed.
