Registering as a Provisional Tax Payer?

I had freelance jobs and although I don't own my
own business/am not registered as a business. All but one of the freelance
jobs were taxed.
Should I register as a provisional tax payer? If so, how do I go about
doing this and what deductions can I make? e.g. Can I claim for Uber trips,
cellphone bills, wear and tear on my equipment (computer, camera) etc? If I
can claim for things like this, how do I go about doing it?

Yes you're regarded as a provisional tax payer, kindly read our blog on What is Provisional Tax? How and when?
You need to register as a Provisional Taxpayer and you can do this via SARS eFiling by logging into your eFiling profile and clicking home, tax types and then selecting the IRP6 option and typing in your tax number. Then, you can scroll down and click on register. Kindly note that SARS might require some documents from you but they will send a letter stating what they need.
You can claim for home office expenses if you have a home office setup and you can definitely claim depreciation of your equipment and the Uber rides too.
