Medical aid refund but had no income in 2015

I had no income for 2015 tax year, but paid medical aid for 8 months plus extra out-of-pocket medical expenses. Am I entitled to some money back from SARS? I am 57 years old.

Unfortunately not as a refund is only when you have overpaid taxes.

I took early retirement end of Jan 2014 and continued my medical aid membership until Oct 2014, so no money back for any medical contributions?

You can only get a tax refund if you have paid too much tax. Since you did not pay any tax because you earned no income there cannot be a refund unfortunately.
