TaxTim Alicia said: 29 July 2024 at 13:46 No, the details on the provisional tax return (IRP6) would unfortunately not automatically pull through to the income tax return (ITR12) as provisional tax returns are normally based on estimated and not actual figures because the provisional tax returns are submitted during the tax year. You will need to declare the actual income earned on your tax return as per your tax certificates, rental income schedule or self employed income statement for the tax year. Please remember to list all the expenses you initially deducted from your income as missing any of them would increase the tax liability on your ITR12. If you made payments toward the provisional tax returns, these also should not be declared on the income tax returns as the payments will automatically be pulled through to the assessment once the income tax return is submitted. |
