The medical aid is in my wife's name but the debit orders come off my account, so as every year I claim it on my tax return, this year it hasn't been allowed. What has changed at SARS?

SARS have become incredibly difficult in this manner lately. Does your wife work? If so, she needs to claim the medical aid. Or you need to dispute SARS and provide reasons as to why it is in her name and not yours, or why she doesn't pay for it.
