Can I claim tax back if I don't belong to Medical aid scheme. I paid over 10000 for my son when he broke his leg.

You can attempt to deduct this, but read our blog about Medical Tax Credits and make use of our Medical Tax Credits Calculator to see if it will result in lower taxes being paid.
