I earned R50 000 commission for the year and paid R6000 tax, can I claim perhaps?

I then started a new job November last year, for which I have my IRP5.

Can you tell us if the R50 000 was a straight commission or was there a separate salary you earned this period too?
If you only earned the commission, you are welcome to claim any business expenses you incurred while earning the commission. If you did not have any expenses you are still welcome to complete a tax return on which both the commission and later salary will reflect and if you were taxed on the salary from November to February 2016, you could be due a tax refund.
