Hello, I've been working as a freelance stylist in the Film industry for the past year, and around 25% tax has been deducted from each pay check. How do I go about getting a tax return?

You would need to submit your tax return first to see if you are due a refund from SARS. You can do this on TaxTim and we will submit it directly to SARS.

I see you have signed up for us to take shared control of your profile and you have completed a return using TaxTim - you need to authorise us via eFiling - you would have received an email asking to do this. Did you not receive this email?

Hi, Thank you. I received an email asking me to send all certificates, documents, etc. Is that the one you're referring to?

Another question: I haven't received any of my IRP5 forms, as I worked for various different production companies. How do I obtain them in order to send them to you?

Please follow these steps and authorize TaxTim for submission

You need to contact these companies and request the IRP5certificates from them. If you have any allowable deductions such as medical fund contributions and retirement fund contributions you need to request these documents too.
