I am an Indian national. I was working in South Africa on a Work Permit from Jun-2012 to Oct-2012. After that I have returned back to India in Nov-2012. I have filed my South African Income Tax Return (ITR12). Based on the calculations in ITR12, I am supposed to get around R 28,000 from SARS as refund. I have checked in SARS efiling website through my login and found that the SARS Status is showing as "AVS Bank with AVS verification fail". I am currently in India and thus am unable to visit any SARS branch in South Africa. Please suggest how can I rectify the details with SARS.
Yes, I have an FNB account at Sandton, Joburg. The same account has been provided in my IT Return as well. The account still has my old South African adress in their records. So, I believe the reason may be that the address provided in ITR12 is my current Indian Address whereas my Bank has my old South African address.

SARS should send you a letter on eFiling about this, have look under "letters" next to where it says, "AVS fail" are there any numbers next to Letters?
