Is one taxed from gifts/loans from overseas

A family member is giving me some money. They are from the UK. They are paying it to me monthly over a period of time. I am currently unemployed and do not submit tax returns. Do I have to pay tax on this?

No you would not pay tax on this provided the money is not from a South African source.
