I have never been a tax payer before and have never worked. I am 60 years old. I do not have a utility bill nor any proof. I reside with my daughter who looks after me. How do I obtain a tax number?

Your daughter will have to complete a form called a CRA001 to prove residency and you will need to take that down to SARS along with your ID and 3 months latest bank statements and then register for a tax number.
