Garnishee order from employer

I've got a problem, I owe SARS R3000 and my employer is deducting the money about R250 for garnish, and now I must submit my IRP5 form for 2008 and 2011 which they didn't give me. So I want to know who's wrong there.

What is their reason for not giving you the IRP5's?

I asked them but there was no answer. What they told me is that I must pay R1000 for a fine, but what worries me is that my employer is deducting that money not SARS. So what I want to know is is that possible?

Yes this is possible, SARS are allowed to do this. If you want to make sure, call 0800 00 7277 and speak to a SARS official who will be able to tell you if they have issued such an order. That way you can check.
