Do you pay tax on cash back from loyalty programs

I work as a sole proprietor, I belong to discovery and get a cash back bonus every month, do I need to treat this as income and pay tax on it?

No you do not need to pay tax on this amount given back to you as it does not constitute income.

Super, thanks very much for the reply. I know they are trying to tax it in the UK, just wasn't sure if we were heading the same way.

It will probably come to South Africa in short time as in theory it could be considered some form of income.
