Do permanent residents (not citizens) working abroad need to file a tax return?

I am a Zimbabwean citizen with South Africa permanent residence status. I worked in South Africa for five years. However, last year I left South Africa and now works in Zimbabwe but have a property there and frequently visit South Africa on a monthly basis. Do I need to file a return on my income earned in Zimbabwe and will I be taxed?

No you do not, you are not a tax resident of SA anymore it would appear. However if you earn money off your SA property then you will need to file a return declaring that income in the Local Business section.
