Confused by "due by me" on SARS SMS

When the tax return SMS says "ACC balance 12.000 due by me" does it mean I'm owing that amount?

Yes it means you owe SARS. Please check your ITA34 document for more detailed information which you would have received on eFiling after you submitted your Income Tax Return.
