Hi, I got my provident fund last year in September 2014 from Alexander Forbes and I got a tax certificate from them. Can I do a tax return on the money that SARS taxed me on?

You need to submit the tax return regardless, but unfortunately you will not receive any tax back as a refund from this as taxes on lump-sums are once-off and subject to special tables.
