Hi TimAwesome forum here very informative.Well this is my saga, I submitted my return on the 1st July 14. On the 8th July 14 I got a letter saying that I've been selected for verification.I submitted supporting docs the same day.On the 4th August 14 I got a call from an auditor requesting further docs. Both my wife and I are employed taxpayers. Her gross salary is in the order of 24000/month and mine is in the order of 34000/month as of January 1st of next year (it's slightly less at the moment). Our medical aid payment is about R1900/month. Last year, I didn't get any benefit for this on my tax return, since the total contributions were less than 7.5% of my salary. I'm referring to your post on the 6th of August regarding the delay in the refunds. I was selected for audit/verification and submitted supporting docs on the 2nd of July. The 3rd I received a letter of completion that stated that no adjustments will be made and that the verification has been completed. After a week I phoned in to enquire about the refund and the call centre told me their is a special stopper on my account and that they will have to escalate the call to get the stopper removed. ...
