I have submitted supporting documentation as requested by SARS in December already (22/12/2016). I have received another request for supporting documentation, but it seems to be for the same documents. Please help?

Hi Tim, I received a travel allowance upfront however I do a lot of traveling between two offices and I claim back travel on a monthly basis capped at 1850kms though I travel in excess of 2000kms per month. I've filed my tax return showing both business travel and personal but now SARS says I owe them about R27000. I have started a shop from home for one year and will register my business only now in February? Is it important to keep the receipts for goods bought in order to file for VAT? Or must I only keep it from the day I am registered? I have kept a book of all my sales for the past year? Is it important for later use once registered?

I've changed cars during the tax year, how should I handle my travel allowance calculations and log book?
1) How would I should I go about maintain my log book? should I keep a different one for each vehicle. 2) I have also leased a vehicle whilst waiting for my new vehicle, how should this be recorded?

If I work for a USA company and earn e.g. $65,000 per year and the company does not have a brand and or is not registered in South Africa, what is the tax process?

I imagine - (please correct me). I receive full amount monthly and need to register as a provisional tax payer and pay SARS normal PAYE twice per year? Note I will not be traveling more than 183 days per year. Is there a possible benefit of registering a business and paying myself from the business a lower amount?

If the landlord has driven from JHB to CT, for example, primarily to effect repairs & maintenance on their rental property between tenants, as well as to meet with prospective letting agents for future employment, can they claim the petrol for this trip? (Approx. Two thirds of this time was spent on rental-related activities, showing the apartment etc, & one third of the time was recreational). If a deduction is possible, what proof does SARS require? Thanks very much.

I was medically boarded at the end of 2015 but am covered by a Discovery Income Protector policy. Does that mean I am "disabled" for tax purposes?

I did my SARS eFilling tax return through TaxTim and I completed the Travel Expenses Section, 4015, as R72902. I am being audited and I am not quite sure anymore what that amount includes, they only thing I can think of to get to such a high figure would be my car payments per month? Please advise what deductions are allowed under this code and what proof I need to send SARS to support this?
