I would like to make a tax number,I'm not employed but I have been promised work only if I get the tax number.
How much of my investment can I liquidate a year without incurring income tax.

I have a unit trust with Alan Gray. I'd like to liquidate the maximum amount allowed per year without incurring extra income tax. Can you help me with this please? How much can I liquidate a year. My annual income is about R145 000.
Do I have to give my bank statements when I register as a taxpayer?

SARS told me today that I must submit three months recent bank statements when I submit my registration forms - IT 77. Is this an error on the part of SARS official? Also advise me why my bank statements are needed.

My current salary package is Cost to Company. Does this mean I pay the medical aid or does the company pay it. The other issues is that I get a fuel allowance, but its not put into my salary. I have a fuel card.

As ek uitgaan dan is dit wat ek reeds gedoen het nie gestoor nie. Is dit omdat ek nog nie betaal het nie of moet alles op eenslag ingevul word?

Standard bank sent me a form to take to SARS form my fixed deposit I have with them, but I lost it before taking it to SARS. How can I get it now?

Where does one insert income from a retirement payout? I can't see it in the questions and I'm not sure where to put it. I received a payout of an RA because I resigned in my last job and the amount was low so I was able to draw it.
They were deducting PAYE and UIF but now dont have tax reference number. How to get it?

I have been working for an NGO for about 3 years and PAYE and UIF was deducted on my monthly salary. I use to fill the IRP5 and yet there is nothing on the tax reference number. I don't know what to do or how you qualify to have the tax reference number because the organization I am working at now they need the tax reference number.

I work for a company that does not pay for medical aid for its employers. If I pay for medical aid out of my own pocket. Will I get a rebate? And how much do I need to pay for a medical in order to receive a rebate?

Yes you can. Simply register on eFiling and if you do not yet have a personal income tax number, SARS will automatically register you and issue a tax reference number. You are required to have a valid South African ID. For more information see the step by step guide to
