I worked for a South African company (for 1 year), and did most of my work in another country, where I meet the 183 day & 60 consecutive day requirement. My question is: I earned a basic salary, plus allowances for being in another country, e.g. food allowance, transport, accommodation, etc. These allowances were paid together with my salary. I've just started at a company doing part time work (22nd May). I get paid on an hourly basis, and the amount hours I work is up to me (very flexible - I am a student). I work about 120 hours a month which returns over R10 000 per month. Since it wont be a fixed amount every month (could be less, could be up to R16K), am I provisional tax payer? The first IRP6 is at the end of August, how would I go about handling this?

Would I be expected to pay 25% of all the income from June 2013- February 2014, on payment #2 IRP6 (February 2014)?...

My son studies away from home and I pay all his expenses. He has a study loan. I pay the interest on his study loan amounts to R 1000 per month. Can I claim any of his expenses back?

I have been working for an NGO for about 3 years and PAYE and UIF was deducted on my monthly salary. I use to fill the IRP5 and yet there is nothing on the tax reference number. I don't know what to do or how you qualify to have the tax reference number because the organization I am working at now they need the tax reference number.
