How to do a tax return when you have resigned?

I resigned last year October (2013). I would just like to find out for which year I should file. I have received pension funds as well. Am not sure how to do my return in this case as I don't have an IRP5. Would you be able to assist me. Thank You.

I just did my income tax and the papers I received shows tax credits and adjustments -26186.88 and under that it says net amount refundable under this assessment after allowable credits -1804.88 how do I know what I'm going to get back please help as I am struggling to understand thank you

Hi Tim,I have file my tax return for the 2011 and claim for donation on the code 4011 for the amount of R13500.00 to church of my choice for the faith of goodwill. All payments have been made in cash payments for that tax year of 2011. I earn a monthly commission, my "employer" requests me to invoice them for the commission and I then get paid the full commission earned. From the Commission I earn I have to pay 2 labourers to help deliver the stock I sell as well as supply the vehicles and fuel. I also supply all office equipment, telephone and stationary, these expenses are all calculated into my "commission". Submitted manually on the 21 July, they requested supporting documents which I submitted on the 22 July, received a message from SARS that amount to be refunded is -R4529.17, which I haven't received to date. I work full time as an employee. Part time I do multi-level network marketing. What should I track for tax deductions and how does it fit in with my full time employment. Electronic equipment? Office? Car ? Gifts, product expenses. What is allowed and not allowed.

Hi TimThank you very much for the awesome job you are doing.I would like to know;what happens when someone hasn't submitted to SARS for about 5-7yrs? *Incorrect submission or not submitting at all*.Does the person get the refunds of other years when he/she eventually submits or get penalties that leads to no refund at all or less refund? I received a verification letter from SARS and I called the call centre. They said my audit has been completed and I was told that my refund will take 21 working days and it might be selected for another audit. How true is this statement? Please assist Tim, 21 more days is a long way to go.

I submitted my return on the 05/07/2014. I was selected for verification, and I uploaded my IRP5 and medical certificate on eFiling. I also went into the branch to validate my banking details and proof of address. I received a letter of completion on the 22/07/2014, and then a letter for change of banking details on the 23/04/2014. CGT
I inherited shares in a 3 private companies at a total value of R650,000.00 in 2003.
I intend selling all the shares at a total price of R2,500,000.00.
I would thus make a capital profit of R1,850,000.00
I am a non resident of South Africa and a citizen of and tax resident of Australia.
I pay taxes in South Africa on dividend and interest at a tax rate of 18%.
What would my CGT liability be.

Can I claim back petrol, whist been paid a monthly travel allowance?

I receive a Travel allowance of R2000.00pm. on top of my salary.
My question is can I still claim for petrol back on my travels?
My reason is that my understanding of a travel allowance is as follows

Travel allowance - is any allowance paid or advance granted by the employer to the employee for the use of his or her private motor vehicle for the employer?%u20AC%u2122s business purposes.
