How can you change login details for eFiling?

I am unable to visit the branch as im abroad and their response was I need to visit their branch to be assisted to reset both my password and username. Is this true?

Sole Proprietor, Importing and Tax?

Hi Tim

Hope you can help me as I'm having a hard time finding the correct information.
I would like to start importing small quantities of goods, for resale, into South Africa as a Sole Proprietor. Now as far as I can tell I will need to complete the following forms at SARS to get an Importers Code: DA185 and DA 185.4A1.

Now the thing is I don't have a tax number etc because I've just finished my studies and I'm just starting out as a Sole Trader, and from the looks of it the DA185 form requires that information....

A friend of mine did it for me before, but this year I want to do it myself, so he said I must contact SARS, they will ask me a couple of questions and they will be able to send me some info, so I can get access to submit my tax return.

I do not understand why TaxTim is different to manually completing an ITR12?

Please could you assist, SARS has now done a re-assessment on my TAX year for 2006, I initially got a refund from them now they have taken it off. I can not go back and get my IRP5 forms as I was working on a project with the company. I was initially using my sister in law to handle my tax but she has made a big mess up. I submitted my tax return via efiling. This year i made a mistake by selecting the wrong button by saying i am married out of community of propery. I am married in community of property. SARS send me a notice that i owe them R1029 and at the bottom its said that married out of community of property affected the assesment. What can i do as my details have not changed and previous years i never had to pay SARS. Could it be because of that and what can i do about it?

I received an sms saying"Thank you for filing your 2011 tax return Assesment Result: R-9 Selected for Audit : No
and the other filing for 2012 tax return Assesment Result R-24 Account Balance:R-33 selected for Audit: No

Passive income of spouses married in community of property?

I understand that when one spouse recieves interest or dividends, that it is deemed to have acrrued equally between the spouses married in community of property. When completing the tax return and answering the questions that TaxTim asks you, do you fill in 50% of the interest or dividend that you earn as the other 50% will be taxed in the hands of the spouse, or do you fill in 100% of the interest or dividends?

Its been 2 months since I filed and im still waiting.... What could the problem be?

I e-filed on 3 July,status says it has been assessed and it is almost 3 Sept...Did my husbands efiling on Monday eve and Wednesday he received his money...Phoned SARS about a week ago and they said it could take up to a month....it is more than a month now, phoned again this morn and I had to deal with one of those machines where you enter your details.Help!

I submitted my returns on efiling about 3 weeks ago. When I called for a follow up, I was advised my address is "unknown" on the system and that I'll have to go to the SARS branch with my bank statement, certified ID copy and proof of residence. I did than on Monday and when I called again on Thursday, I was told to go to the branch again to update my details as the system still said my address is "unknown". I advised the lady that I was there on Monday and she didn't sound too sure but said my details should be updated after 41 days and only then will I receive my payout....

I recently submitted my returns, how do I get my returns? Do i have to go to sars offices again and supply my banking details or do they have them when I submitted? my ITA34 says at the bottom that no banking details are included so no money will be paid to me. How do I know they have my banking details? please help....

I am self employed with irregular income from the same source. I have registered with e-filing as individual tax payer. Should this be changed to provisional tax payer?
