How do I get a tax number I have pay income tax on my salary per mouth with work but don't have a tax number?

Out of pocket medical expense for dentist.

I'm 25 years old, my annual income is approximately R264000 and I'm also paying my own medical aid at a rate of R1710 p/m with no other dependents. I'm considering the possibility of having severe dental work done on my teeth that will be a R150000 out of pocket medical expense. How much of this will I be able to claim back from tax?

What do I expect from a mixture of employment and individual contractor at end of tax year?

I was an employee up to 31 October 2015, then I resigned to work for another institution as an individual contractor. I am rated hourly and paid according to hours worked for the month. The institution deducts income tax from total income. What do expect at end of tax year?

No IRP5 on liquidated company

The company my wife has worked for has been liquidated in September 2014. She has worked for them form January 2014 until September 2014. Subsequently she hasn't received and IRP5 because of the liquidation (there is a case pending and they say that they cannot issue the IRP5 until the court has made a decision). She does however have payslips and the company did pay tax in the time period she worked for them. She also has a letter from the auditor explaining this. What do we need to do on SARS ...

Tax on Rental Income

Dear Sir/Madam

I am South African, but living and working in Kuwait. Back in Durban I own 2 properties which are rented out to tenants. Property 1 - rental income is R6200. 00 pm, monthly bond is R3500. 00, rates is R1600, monthly levy is R850. 00. Property 2 - rental income is R4500. 00, bond is R3550. 00 pm, rates is R350. 00, Levy is R700. 00. I have no other source of income in SA. Do I pay tax to SARS?

I received an SMS after submitted my IRP5 "said" assessment type : additional: amount Due by you: audit: N : first payment 01-01-2016 and 2nd 31-01 -2016 does that mean I should pay money?

Do I have to spend 63 days out of the country before 28 February 2016 to not pay tax?

I live and work in Malta but travel back to South Africa frequently. I did not have to pay tax for the 2015 tax year because I did 63 days out of the country starting in March 2014 and spent the relevant amount of time not in SA. In 2015 I incorrectly assumed that a day spent in transit did not count, but because in OR TAMBO you have to enter with your passport, I have not done 63 days for the 2016 tax year. I was selected for audit. I have been waiting for more than 21 days now. I received a letter yesterday in my SARS eFiling profile - completion letter what is going to happen now.

If you calculate your information on SARS SARS eFiling and you calculate and it says Taxable Income states eg

I need to fill in the registration form and fax it to SARS together with my ID copy so that my SARS eFiling registration is completed. My problem is that I cannot find the registration form, what is the name of this registration form? When I received an sms from SARS to fill in this form, the name was not there so I am stuck, please help.

I'm an SA citizen who is currently based in New Zealand for a couple of years. I'm going to SA for a holiday and have sent money to one of my bank accounts to use as spending. The money has been sent electronically and my reason was a gift to myself. Will I be paying tax on this amount in SA?

I am a commission earner and earned R 486 342 but my tax assessment states that I owe SARS R2327719

I am an estate agent, I've submit my tax returns and have received a shocking assessment of R2,327,719. 96
I earned R486 342,00 in commission from selling property. I suspect I might have made an error where I was asked about turnover and I put the value of the properties that I sold which is about R7,000,000 and am afraid SARS wants to tax me on that whereas I only received and average commission of about 5%. Kindly advise how I rectify this.

No IRP5 being delivered

One of my previous employers refuses to send an IRP5 (they claim their submissions aren't balancing, I suspect they haven't being paying our tax), the cut off is tomorrow and I now don't have an IRP5 to submit for part of the year. I can't get an affidavit as I don't live in the country anymore. How do I go about this?
