I submitted a return for the first time myself in 2012. It was previously done by a colleague who was rather knowledgable. Each previous year (3 years) the outcome was a R0.00 balance as I do not have any medical aid, retirement, etc. Nothing had changed since then. I don't have to pay tax, because I do not earn enough. I am not registered either and want to know why does my employer need my tax number to register me for UIF? Now they force me to go and register at SARS and I resigned a month ago.

I am a provisional taxpayer... I work freelance and my income fluctuates. I've been doing my own tax through efiling for several years now, and have never had a problem. So this year, I send off my return on January 29 (yes, I know, leaving it till the last minute... every year I

I am graduate and currently unemployed full-time. I write for a small company. I get R700 a month for writing promos. Now thing is when I get deposit alerts from FNB, they show that R525 has been deposited,I want to know can bank charges for R700 be up to R180 or is there some taxing going on. I moved jobs from one company to another in September 2011, last year when it was time for eFiling I only had the IRP5 form for my current employer. I could not get my previous IRP5 form from my previous employer as the company had been closed.
