Hello there, I recently sold my house and invested the money in interest bearing acc. I have now moved to the Uk. I needed to get tax registered to sell my house. Prior to this I was not working as my partner supported us. I beleive I have to do a tax return. Total not clear about supporting doc

I tried filling my return on SARS eFiling guess what I got audited, they are asking me of supporting documents the problem is I really do not know how to make them available on my pc as I have papers with me not on my pc...hope i'm making sense?

Newbie at efiling and not sure what all status, ITSA and ITA34 meaning are. Have I been audited?

Hi There,

I just filled by 2014 tax returned through eFiling and got an email from SARS stating I have a notification that needs by attention. This was regarding my 2012 tax return and it still needed to be submitted. I submitted it soon as possible. I received three emails from SARS, the first one stating that statement of account as been issued, ITSA for the period of 2012 - 2014 and the other two emails stating I have a ITA34 notice for 2014 and 2012. I am going back to India permanently. I have done eFiling this year, and the returns is credited to my SA bank account. I like to get next year's return to my Indian account. Can I change the bank details to my Indian Bank Account, so that next year returns would be credited to my Indian account. If yes, how can I change it? Can I change it via eFiling, or do I need to visit the SARS office before travelling back? What all documents are required? What is the procedure?

I am a model and I never got a job in the 2013 financial year but only in 2014.

I accidentally clicked "request return" for 2013 on the efiling site. I earned no income that year. Will that affectmy refund that is due to me for a return that I filed for 2014? The efiling status is "Assessment received" and the SARS status is "Return-Data submitted to ITS". Do I need to file the (accidentally) requested 2013 return even though I was not working?

My medical aid contribution is R3500 each month for my husband and I. I filled this in next to source code 4040 on the eFiling form but when I save and ask to ' calculate tax' then the source code 4008 medical expenses (total) shows 0.... How does this work, am I doing something wrong or do I not qualify for the medical tax credit??

I submitted my tax return via eFiling on 18 August. I was then selected for verification and today, 23 days later I received a document re requesting the documents to be uploaded. Why would SARS ask for the same documents again and how long will this process take?

Have not done eFiling for 2013 will I be in trouble and I don't work any more.

I have done my tax return on efiling for 2014, and which is now: 'Return ?%u20AC%u201C Data Submitted To ITS'. My assessment has been done, and I have received a statement of account and the completion letter as well. The statement reflects that there is a refund due to me.
My question: How long does it take for SARS to process my refund, and how long do I have to wait for the amount to be paid into my account?

Please assist, I don't understand ITSA from SARS.
