TaxTim says: 9 July 2014 at 7:19 Yes it is, SARS calls it an audit, but then the letter received speaks of a verification, but it is just a check of information. A real audit would be SARS coming to your home and asking for a lot more documents. |

Tim how seen do you think I can expect a response or is there anyway to speed up this verification/audit process, as I am hoping my returns will not be dragged on for another couple of weeks. |

TaxTim says: 14 July 2014 at 9:34 There were major issues with the refund process last week which SARS have assured us have been sorted. You should receive a Completion Letter in the next couple of days and thereafter the refund a day or two later. |

Tim the last tax season I was also audited and comparitively my returns for this season is very similar in nature. So why the audit yet again? Is this because I am a full commission earner and my submitted returns are of a reasonably high value, How long does this process entail? . |
