Pounds or Rands?

Not exactly tax related but worth a shot... I work in South Africa for an online retail company that ship from the UK to all over the world. The company earns in pounds but we earn a very basic salary in Rands. Is this acceptable? My salary in Rands would be below the minimum income bracket if I was in the UK.

Either way you will have to pay tax in SA on your RAND equivalent.
