Hi Tim. We don't have a medical aid, we have a medical insurance. They don't provide Tax Certificates. Can we still use the monthly deductions as medical expenses?
Thanks

Unfortunately medical insurance is not deductible for tax purposes as it is seen as an insurance product similar to life insurance. Any amount that you have spent on medical expenses however can be included in the Out of Pocket expenses which you pay yourself, but not under the amount for medical aid.
