Incomplete tax return from 2007 with no IRP5 information available.

I recently applied for my tax return for 2013. I have been waiting a while for the return until I called SARS and they told me that I have an incomplete return from 2007. The problem is: I don't possess any IRP5 information from that year, and the only job I had was a shift job in which I made a minimum wage for only three months. What do I need to do?

Please have a look on eFiling if there is an IRP5 for that year already loaded onto your ITR12 Income tax return. If not, and you were under the threshold, then click on the question which says "were you unemployed...." click yes to that and submit.

Thanks for the reply!

At the moment it gives me the option of clicking yes or no as to whether I received an IRP5 from that year and how many certificates. I'm just confused as to why there would be an incomplete tax return for that year, and why SARS would have placed it there.

Thanks for the help.

IF you scroll down from there, you should see the number of certificates and if there is any information on them, can you tell me if there is?

No problem!

There was no information whatsoever. I think it had pre-selected one certificate for me, but there was no information on that at all.

Then you should click that you were unemployed and file a nil return.
