I owe SARS - but being audited - when to pay?

The result of my assessment shows that I owe SARS money. They have selected me for an audit / verification. I have submitted the supporting documents manually to a SARS branch. SARS could take 90 days to conduct the verification process. Should I pay SARS now, or wait and see what the result of their audit is, and only pay when they get back to me, i.e. maybe in 3 months time.

You must wait and see if SARS adjust the assessment or not and then pay the amount owing.
