How long to wait for my refund from SARS and what must I do?

On 01/07/2014 I have submitted my returns and then I was selected for audit the next day later I submitted my supportive doc.31 days later I received a letter from SARS which state verification of assessment is complete. I then went to SARS head office to find out if there is anything they will need from me after receiving a letter of verification and they said No my money will paid to me after 21 working days now 21 days have passed by and I phoned SARS to find out why my refund is still not paid they told me I must wait for another 30-60 days before my money can be deposit into my account. All I want to know is how long must I wait because they told me everything is all fine they don't need anything from me.

SARS have a lengthy system in place which has caused the delayed refund from, however your refund will be paid out. It is just a matter of patience. You can call SARS and ask them to escalate the problem if it has gone past the 30 or 60 days expiry.
