How does medical dependents work?

I have myself and my 4 children and my wife on the medical aid, do I say that my medical dependents are 5 or do I include myself and state that I have 6?

Yes you need to include yourself and state that you have 6 medical aid dependents in order to receive the tax deduction for it.
