How do I get my tax back when unemployed?

How can I get my tax back because I don't work at this moment. How can I do it?

You need to complete and file a tax return in order to be able to see if you are due a refund or not, this isn't always guaranteed. You can begin this process by registering for TaxTim.

Please know that tax is not a fund that you pay into and then get money out of. Only the Unemployement Insurance Fund or UIF portion (if you have contributed previously via your pay cheque) is available for you to draw on when unemployed.
