I work less than 22 hours a week (part-time), and I am still a full-time student. I earn around R3000 a month, and will only be working till September. Do I have to pay tax? What is the 25% tax that my contract refers to? And UIF of 1%?

Unfortunately students get taxed at 25% as their work is considered contract work and SARS requests that this be taken off as PAYE. You will have receive this money back when you file a return as you earn less than the overall threshold. Have a look at our Pricing Page to purchase a package and when Tax Season opens 1 July we can assist you filing your return.
