Do I need to register at SARS before I start trading?

Hi, I have just opened a trading account on the Plus500 platform and I would like to make my first deposit which is R1000. I'm not registered as a tax payer yet, so my question is; do I have to go register at SARS first before I start trading in order for me to make the deposit into my Plus500 account?

No you do not need to register first, but you must go and register anyway making use of our guide on How to get a SARS tax number
