If you are receiving a monthly disability income due to medical boarding because of cancer, is this considered as disability according to SARS?

Disability for SARS purposes relates to medical expenses you can claim as deductions. Does your illness leave you impaired or unable to function "normally?"

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I was unable to perform my normal work functions therefore I was boarded off from work until I am fit enough to resume my normal duties.

This would not really classify as a disability because you did recover - SARS generally considers disabilities as such when your function in life is impaired over a long period, or forever.
