Must I deduct PAYE from a Namibian resident working in Namibia for an SA company?

As a South African Company we want to employ a Namibian resident to work in a Namibian store for us but his income will be from us here in SA. Must he register as a tax payer in SA although he is not an SA resident?

You do not need to deduct PAYE as the source of his income, his place of work, will be Namibia and it is up to him pay taxes in his home country. However, do you plan to pay him directly from an SA bank account or through a Namibian company?

Paying directly for a SA bank account. Does that makes a difference?

Not from a South African perspective, but you may need to consult a Namibian tax adviser to ask what the responsibilities are from a Namibian PAYE point of view.
