Will be out of the country for travel efficiency of approx 60%, in other words more than 6 months every year, but in periods of 1 or 2 weeks at a time.

In order to take advantage of the exemption rules as a tax resident you need to be out of the country for more than 183 days in any 12 month period of which at least 60 days must be continuous. If the UK company withholds tax then you can offset that against the South African tax payable.
