There's different time periods, if you were not requested to submit supporting documents and have no old outstanding tax returns, you should get your refund in 2-3 days. Should SARS have requested supporting documents from you to review your submission, it should take them 60 working days to finalise the review and after this you will receive your refund. If you have old outstanding tax returns, you need to submit this first and only after the tax forms are submitted you will get the refund.
