Tax relief for Medical Aid

I only realised this month (March) that I was due a tax (PAYE) relief due to a Medical Aid Fund, which was initiated in July last year. Would it be possible to claim the relief even though the PAYE period is closed?

Do you mean you have been contributing to a medical aid fund since July 2015? Was this done via your employer?

No...this thud is my own medical aid

You will receive the medical aid credit when you submit your tax return for 2015/2016 - filing season opens 1 July 2016. In your tax return, you will need to complete all medical details within the medical section to obtain the tax relief.
