I worked 80 days outside of South Africa in the 2014 tax year. I was employed by a South African company, but was stationed on a Turkish mine site for works conducted. It was not 80 consecutive days, with trips usually 2-3 weeks at a time. Am I eligible for any tax refunds?

Unfortunately not, if you are a South African tax resident you would need to have worked outside SA for longer than 183 days in a 12 month period.
