Kez says: 14 July 2015 at 12:20 Hi Tim I submitted my Tax Return to SARS, on the 03/07/2015. On the same day I received the notification that I was yet again for a second year in a row being audited. Since it was the weekend I could only submit the required documents on the 06/07/2015. I have been waiting 7 working days now for some sort of email/sms from SARS saying that my refund is on its way, (last year tax season, it took them 2 days after the notification to get my refund in). All that they are querying is my Medical Aid Tax. Why are they taking so long? |

TaxTim says: 14 July 2015 at 15:44 Unfortunately it can take SARS 21 working days to process their verification. You will receive a letter of completion once they have done this, but usually they complete it within the next 5 days or so. |
