Supporting documents requested from SARS - time and process?

My tax return was submitted by my tax consultant on the 1st of July. On the 7th of July he informed me that SARS required supporting documents. I gave him the documents and (according to him) he submitted the documents to SARS. On the 30th of July I received a final notice to submit.

He says he is busy dealing with this and I should not worry. Should I worry? Why is this taking so long? Is it normal for a final letter if you submitted?

Was it a final notice or an additional notice?

Hi Tim

A final notice.

You need to call your practitioner an enquire as to why they have not submitted your documents yet. You would not be issued a final notice if this was the case.
