That is not completely true, that ONLY applies to taxpayers who have worked for a full 12 months for one employer only, and have absolutely no deductions (like medical, or medical aid) or any extra income. So basically only source code 3601 and nothing else. Otherwise you have to file.

Also there is no way to get a tax refund if you don't file a tax return. So if you normally get one, then you need to file. See these 5 reasons you still need to file in 2015.
