SARS want me to submit a tax return from 2008/9 but the accounts for the company can't seem to find the IRP5. What are my options?

You need to swear an affidavit stating that you have no IRP5 for these years and the reasons why.
You need to take this to SARS together with payslips or bank statements you may have for 2008 and 2009.
