Number of periods worked on the IRP5?

I am a contract worker and on my IRP5 it states that my number of periods worked is 365 ,which is not the case. In April 2012 my contract was finished and I was without work for a month. In May 2012 I was appointed by the same company again. Since then I have been laying off a day here and sometimes a couple of days at a time. I do not get paid for the days I do not work(as per my contract). How does all this affect my number of periods worked and what am I to do?

Does it state 365 for both the pay periods and number of periods worked?

Yes it does. Could this result in a refund?

Your overall tax amount due is still based on the amount of income earned for the year. Your PAYE would be calculated on the number of months worked, but if you earned Rxxx for one year and overpaid the actual tax due then no it won't affect the refund.
