If I,m a beneficiary on my partners medical aid can I claim medical aid as a tax deduction?
I pay the money into his account and then the medical aid debits his account?

Unfortunately not - the main member on the medical aid should claim the tax credit in his tax return. The tax benefit will be the same regardless of who claims it.

Thank you for your reply.

The money I'm saving as a beneficiary on his medical aid is very very small, would it be better for me to rather become a main member of my own medical aid?

Yes, then you can claim the tax credit in your own tax return.
