ITSA query "AVS banking"

I registered & submitted my ITR12 & submitted documents which I did, I got a Letter of Completion. I requested an ITSA which was sent to me instantly, indicating the refund payable to and that I am NOT under audit nor verification. My status = AVS BANKING. What is next?

Have you changed your banking details with SARS recently?

Hi Tim, I registered now for the first time with my correct banking details, they asked me to supply supporting docs, which I did. On my IRP5 is my wife's account number, but my IRP5 wasn't submitted by my employer I had to enter all the data, so I didn't change it. There was no details for my banking so I registered with my banking details ??

So the SARS bank details and the details on your IRP5 are different? Or does SARS only know your one bank details?

Yes they are different, I dont know what SARS knows, but they asked for supporting documents which I submitted(IRP5), which has my wife's account, so I guess they know, but the moment I registered for efiling I registered with MY banking details, hope this helps. Regards and Thanx

It shouldn't really make a difference where the salary gets paid, what is important is that the bank account details provided to SARS match the details of the account in your name. They probably want supporting documents for those account details then (your own).
