Hi there,
Is there a penalty when SARS is late in payment to a taxpayer? If so, what is the penalty. Hopefully this works both ways. I'm eager to know. It would be much appreciated. Kind regards

Are you up to date with all your previous years tax filings?
Have you submitted all supporting documents (if you were requested)?

How long have you been waiting?

Yes, I'm up to date on all previous tax filings. All supporting documents have been submitted. I submitted on the 12th Nov 2015. I also contacted SARS and they admitted that they are behind in payment - I have a reference number for the escalation. As it stands I've been waiting for over 2 months (63 days in total including today).

You should lodge a complaint - you can read How to complain about SARS on their website.
