IRP5 differs from Payslips?

Employer is coming back saying that they deducted to little tax. IRP5 shows more tax deducted than tax deducted on payslips. Do I need to pay them money back?

The payslips and the IRP5 should be identical, the amount on the payslip is that the amount shown in your bank account?

If you have received too much after tax income in your bank account and your employer can prove to you that they have paid that difference over to SARS then you should have to pay them back for that amount.

Please ensure that the correct amount was paid to SARS as PAYE. If they have not then at the end of the year when you file your tax return you will have to pay this difference over to SARS yourself as it is the tax that you owe.
